This course provides students with a basic understanding of the architecture, database and file system used within Oracle Applications Release R12.1.1. Students learn about the multi-tier architecture used to provide user access over the Internet or an intranet and the relationship between Oracle Applications and the Oracle database. The course covers the structure of the file system used to store the Oracle Applications product files, environment files, and additional files required to support multiple languages in Release R12.1.1. R12.1.1 Extend Oracle Applications: Forms

Oracle Application Object Library provides a framework for extending Oracle Applications using Oracle Forms Developer. This framework helps developers build custom forms using Oracle Application Object Library R12.1.1 and Oracle Forms Developer 6i. In this class, students learn the graphical user interface (GUI) and coding standards required to develop integrated functional extensions to Oracle Applications using Oracle Forms Developer 6i and the pre-built program components provided with the Oracle Applications. Students learn the same form programming techniques used by Oracle's application development teams to create integrated, user-friendly applications. This class includes extensive hands-on practice building a form to reinforce concepts taught.


An upgrade experience from Oracle to R12 is preferrable but not mandatory or even experience with Maintenance pack is preferable.

Do you train people on Apps DBA track? I've been working as a regular DBA in the last 6 years and looking to switch to Apps side, but seems pretty hard to get trainers around.
